What You’ll Need to Apply

Before you apply for MinnPACE financing, here’s what you’ll need to gather:

1. Contractor Bid

Get a detailed bid from your contractor outlining the work to be done.

2.  Energy, Water, or Resiliency Audit

Have a qualified professional complete a audit showing how much your improvements will save — either in energy use (measured and in dollars) or in greenhouse gas reductions.

3.  Mortgage Holder Sign-Off

Your mortgage lender must sign the MinnPACE acknowledgment form.

4.  Determine Market Value

Your loan can be up to 30% of your property’s market value or a certified appraisal, whichever is higher. For major rebuilds or new construction, the appraisal should reflect the as-designed and completed value.

5.  Choose Your Lender

Select a lender through MinnPACE or Trillion BTU. If you’re not using the Trillion BTU loan, your lender will guide you through the MinnPACE application process.
